SNOWMOBILE SAFARIS
Here is a selection of different safaris we arrange. All the details can be mixed with each others to tailor you a specific package. All the possibilities above the Arctic Circle are available! The safaris are exclusively for your group unless other wise mentioned.
All of the snowmobiles and equipment used on our safaris are new (2010, 2011 2012). The driving gear includes: high quality overall, boots, gloves, helmet + balaclava. Safety and driving instructions will be demonstrated at the start of every safari. Guidance and instructions are available in Finnish and in English. In case of damage, self liability is 800 Euros. A valid driving license is needed with you on the safari (at least class T). When driving a snowmobile, same laws apply as when driving a car. Alcohol tolerance is zero. Our snowmobile safaris can be integrated as a part of another program. For an extra fee, meals and Lappish ceremonies can be preordered to all of the safaris.
AIRPORT SAFARI
Start your stay right from the airport of Kittilä. Upon arrival to the airport, change into your snowmobile gear and get ready for a safari. Your luggage will be transported by car to your place of accommodation. This safari can be integrated into a longer safari.

SAFARI TO A LAPP TENT
Wilderness safari through snow covered woods to our private Lapp tent. We will enjoy hot drink at the tent.

BASIC SAFARI
|
Prior to the safari we will change into the driving gear, and the guide will instruct all of the participants on the snowmobile safety and driving technique. The safari takes place in various terrains and scenery; lakes, forest and if the weather permits we will drive to the top of Levi fell. During the safari we will take a coffee break.

LEVILOOP
|
We drive around the Levi fell and if the weather permits we return directly over the summit. We take a break to enjoy a hot beverage.

SAFARI TO THE SNOW CASTLE
|
Luvattumaa is located near Ounasjoki river north of Levi. We will enjoy the scenery and drive around Levi fell to Luvattumaa teepee restaurant. After coffee break we visit a fabulous snow castle and ice restaurant made by the host of Luvattumaa Pekka Jussila. The restaurant tables and the bar counter are made of the bright Ounasjoki river ice. End of the safari we will drive back to Levi centre through the spectacular forest scenery.

NORTHERN LIGHTS SAFARI
|
We drive to a private Lapp tent. There we enjoy the peace of the wilderness and, subject to the weather conditions of course, we hope to watch the Northern Lights. We will enjoy a hot beverage.

SAFARI TO RAEKALLIO ART GALLERY
|
We head north, through the snowy hills of Levi to Pöntsö village to visit an art gallery of Reijo Raekallio. Upon arrival we get to know the art of Reijo Raekallio. He is renowned for his mastery of illustrating the phenomenon of the life of the reindeer and the human being. If we are lucky, we will meet the artist himself. After coffee break we will drive back to Levi centre through the spectacular forest scenery.

SAUNASAFARI
|
Reward yourself with traditional Finnish sauna after a snowmobile safari. Take pleasure in snowmobiling through snowy landscapes and beautiful scenery. The route varies during the 50 km long safari and ends at a sauna. There you can relax in the pleasant traditional Finnish wooden sauna and even enjoy the exotic outdoor baths.

SAFARI TO KUMPUTUNTURI FELL
This safari will take you to east, to the magnificent Kumputunturi fell. The views from the Kumputunturi fell are breathtaking. The fell used to be an observation post for the local fire ranger. We will make the coffee and grill the sausage in the fire ranger’s old cabin.

ICE FISHING SAFARI TO A BACKCOUNTRY LAKE
We drive snowmobiles through the wilderness towards the Pallastunturi fell. At a private backcountry lake we will fish perch and whitefish, even trout. After ice fishing we grill the fish we caught, as well as, sausages and enjoy a pot of coffee made on an open fire inside a Lappish teepee.

Super600: In the spring time we recommend a safari taking several days through the landscapes of the northern part of Finland. There is also a possibility to visit Norway on the shore of the Arctic sea or Halti, the highest fell in Finland.
